What Does the Home Warranty Process Look Like?

Your home warranty company offers two ways to file a claim: by phone or online. Once submitted, a work order is sent to a contractor. If received during business hours, the contractor typically calls to schedule service the same day, but this does not guarantee same-day service. Delays may occur in processing the work order.

Contractors are encouraged to schedule service within 24 hours of receiving the work order, excluding weekends. However, high demand during peak seasons may extend wait times, with appointments scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Home warranty companies do not provide emergency services or hold priority spots.
